📷 6A special day tour departing from Batumi to discover Sumela Monastery, one of the most impressive historical and natural attractions of the Black Sea region. In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel and cross into Türkiye through the Sarpi Border Gate, continuing to Sumela Monastery in Maçka, Trabzon.
After visiting the monastery, with its historic atmosphere, dramatic mountain scenery and remarkable location, you will have free time followed by a lunch break. At the end of the day, we return to Batumi through the Sarpi Border Gate and drop off our guests at their hotels.
At the designated time, we pick you up from your hotel in Batumi and begin the tour. We then depart towards the Sarpi Border Gate.
Your pickup time will be communicated to you by Zoovoy before the tour, based on your accommodation address.
We cross into Türkiye through the Sarpi Border Gate, located on the Georgia–Türkiye border.
After completing the border crossing procedures, we continue our journey towards Trabzon, enjoying the natural beauty of the Black Sea region along the way.
We visit Sumela Monastery, located in the Altındere Valley National Park in Maçka, Trabzon.
Built on a dramatic rocky cliff, this historic monastery is one of the region’s most significant cultural heritage sites, renowned for its architecture and breathtaking natural surroundings. Guests will have free time to explore the historic site and enjoy the spectacular scenery around the monastery.
After completing the day’s program, we depart for Batumi and arrive at the Sarpi Border Gate.
Following the border crossing procedures from Türkiye into Georgia, we continue our journey towards Batumi.

Discover Sumela Monastery, one of the most impressive historical and natural attractions of the Black Sea region, on this special day tour departing from Batumi.
Our tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Batumi. After crossing into Türkiye through the Sarpi Border Gate, we continue towards Maçka in Trabzon, travelling through the spectacular landscapes of the Black Sea region. Located within Altındere Valley National Park, Sumela Monastery is built into a dramatic rocky mountainside and offers a unique combination of history, architecture and natural scenery.
After visiting the monastery, you will have free time to explore the surroundings, take photos and enjoy the mountain views. We then take a lunch break at a local restaurant. Lunch is not included in the tour price.
At the end of the day, we cross back into Georgia through the Sarpi Border Gate and return to Batumi, concluding the tour with drop-off at the hotel or designated pickup point where our guests were collected at the beginning of the tour.
